  • Forget Flyaway Hair

    September 25th, 2010

Occassionally we all have those days where our hair is full of static and rather than doing what we want it to; it just sticks to our faces!

The solution to taming flyaway hair is to simply moisturise your hands then run them over your hair, this will combat the static. Alternatively spray a little hairspray onto your comb or hairbrush and run it through your hair.

    Beautiful Brows

We all know that a good eyebrow wax or shape can really enhance the face. However, many clients often tell me that they find their eyebrow hairs (after shaping) sometimes become too long and they don’t know what to do about this.

    The solution is easy…

Using an eyebrow/lash comb, brush your brow hairs upwards. Holding the comb in position use a pair of nail scissors to trim the ends of any hairs that protrude above the natural upper brow line – take care not to trim below the upper brow line. This will keep the hairs nice and tidy. Remember, use caution – as with any hair cut you can take it away, but you can’t put it back!

    Perfect Polish

Prevent smudging your meticulously applied nail varnish by applying a drop of oil to your painted nails one minute after you’ve finished painting them.
    Perfect polish
Gently smooth the oil over the nails using your finger and the oil will make the varnish touch dry, preventing any smudges or smears.

Vegetable oil works just as well as almond oil and is less expensive than shop bought quick dry sprays.

    Luscious Lashes

To improve the condition of your eyelashes try gently applying a thin layer of vaseline to your lashes each night before bedtime.

This will give your lashes a real moisture boost, making them softer and promoting growth.

    Fabulous Feet

One way to improve the condition of dry feet is to follow this simple advice; before bedtime, smother your feet with a rich moisturising cream or vaseline then pop on a pair of socks.

By the time you wake up in the morning the warmth of wearing the socks overnight will have helped the skin absorb the moisturiser more effectively, leaving your feet noticably softer to the touch.
